This division had some of the tightest games of the whole tournament. FA Heat 2024, playing up a division, impressed with their overall guard play and team IQ. They were led by Deavion Mitchell and Warren Henson III. The champion of the 6th grade division came out of Pool B which was loaded with talent between Michigan Heat, MBA, and The Family. Michigan Heat survived with point differential being the deciding factor because each team finished 1-1 in pool play. The Family’s Tony Tolbert II scored in double figures in all his games and distributed the ball very well. MI Heat beat a well-coached FA team 45-40, while the Big Dogs won a close one against North Oakland Wolfpack 56-54 in the semis. MI Heat found Big Dog’s Bryce Fortune a tough cover who led his team in points and rebounds. MVP Deonte Roberts and MI Heat though would not be denied by winning the championship in the final seconds by a score of 47-45.
